Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels - how do they work?

Chemical Peels are an aesthetic treatment that combine either a single or a host of exfoliating solutions that can be applied to the face, décolletage and hands.

The solution may be gentle, whereby instant results are visible such as an aesthetic radiance, or the solution may be medical strength which penetrates deeply into the skin and causes peeling of the skin, over several weeks.

Chemical Peels have dated back into the beauty regimes of ancient Egypt! Cleopatra was famous for soaking in milk baths with rose petals and that was no coincidence, as lactic acid softens and rose oil tonifies the skin.

Ultimately the aim of chemical peeling is to improve the appearance of skin, exfoliating the dead cells and promoting a fresher smoother skin that softens any existing lines and wrinkles.

The Uber Peel we use in our clinic is a multi purpose combination of ingredients that target a wide range of skin complaints. The main ingredient in our chemical peel is bitter almonds so we have stayed true to Cleopatra and use only what nature intended. Our peel has no down time, no excessive peeling and can be performed in a lunch hour.

Our multi functional Uber Peel helps to reduce the appearance of these typical areas of concern:

  • Acne scars
  • Age spot
  • Ageing skin
  • Crow's feet
  • Hyperpigmentation Melasma
  • Scars sun-damaged skin
  • Sagging skin
  • Wrinkles
